Many different flavors of e-liquid exist for consumers to use in these cartridges, however other e-cigarette models use “cartomizers”, which is the combination of an atomizer and a refill cartridge. This prevents consumers from refilling the cartridges with e-liquid, but ensures that each new cartridge also includes a new piece of hardware. They argue that since the atomizer is not a cheap part to replace that the cartomizer system is a better alternative.
Electronic cigarette consumers often fall into only a couple of categories. They typically are either dedicated smokers who enjoy smoking as a social activity or they are those who have given up trying to quit because they have no interest in dealing with the stress involved in doing it. Quit smoking products already exist for those who want to stop smoking, but for those who do not to quit, electronic cigarettes are the only alternative available on the market that replicates the act of smoking.
